Virtue Classes

Our lives are alright.
No major complaints for most of us.

And, yet, you might think, “If I were a little more like the Dalai Lama, I wouldn’t get so rubbed the wrong way.” The lofty goal of spiritual balance and peace can be achieved. It just takes knowing how.

Let me teach you about virtue to help you manage anger, annoyances, blame, and forgiveness.

Don’t just wish you were more like the Dalai Lama.

Do something about it.

Learn about virtues with a master teacher.

Every Wednesday in July

Anger, Annoyances,  Blame, & Forgiveness.

There is no need for temples, no need for complicated philosophies. My brain and my heart are my temples; my philosophy is kindness.

Want some help learning virtues to achieve balance? Want to learn how to use your brain and heart to achieve kindness? I’d love to help you.

Why take this class?

Because your life is about more than just doing.

Because you seek wellness outside of the physical, emotional, or intellectual.

Because you want to live a more virtuous life.

Because you trust Rabbi Brian.

Other Questions & Answers

Anger, annoyances, blame, and forgiveness. Why those?

People who live their virtues have less anger, less annoyance, less blame, and more forgiveness. And, if we can get you living a more virtuous life, we can improve the quality of your life.

It’s a business, efficiency approach. If you can change one thing, change the smallest thing you can that will have the biggest impact. It’s leverage.

I have worked with people on these four topics and I have seen wonderful results come from understanding the source of our anger, how to positively deal with annoyances, what the role of our blame is, and the components of forgiveness. We will cover more than just those, but, those four are the thrust of our exploration.

Do I need a teacher?

No. You don’t. But a coach can facilitate and guide you, handhold, and provide hints.

And, motivation.

Why take this class from Rabbi Brian?

I, Rabbi Brian, am an excellent teacher. I teach from my heart. And, having taught high school mathematics for years, I have gotten really, really good at teaching. I’m not the most learned rabbi when it comes to Talmud or law codes, but I am quite good when it comes to matters of the heart – compassion and love.

If you have been reading my newsletter, you’ve gotten a good sense of me and my style. And, chances are, if you’ve been reading my newsletter and you’re reading these words about “why take this class from Rabbi Brian” that you like and trust me. Those all seem like really good reasons to take a class from me.

Do I have to be there live?

No. You don’t have to be there live. But, think about this: while you could potentially learn the tuba from only watching YouTube videos, it’s just not a great way of  learning.  Live interaction is better for learning. And, a live class offers you more accountability.

What if I miss a session or want to review after?

If you miss a class or want to review, recordings are available.

How does the class work? What's the structure?

WIth the log-on I provide, you click and voila, you are in my virtual classroom. Along with everyone else. (I’m assuming there will be 20 people.)

You’ll be able to see everyone on your screen – like the opening of the television show, The Brady Bunch. You can ask questions, chat, and generally interact like you would in a “real” classroom. We start with a welcome and a prayer. We discuss the last week’s class, I present the new material, and give things to think about until the next week.

Between sessions there are assignments or things to think about with an assigned “accountabilibuddy.” (This is optional. You don’t need to do the homework.)

Can I do this with a friend?

I would love you to do this with a friend! Wonderful.

If you are in the same location and you can sit close, you can sit in the same “virutal class chair” at the same time.

If you are in different locations, you can both take up a chair.

(I’ll leave it to you to figure out if/how it feels right to you for both of you having the same chair for the price of one. Really, this is on you.)

What if I'm not good at technology?

I’ve got you. I’ve talked people through this. If you have figured out how to get these words on the screen, I can help you get on the page for the class. Really.

What is your refund policy?

I will give you your money (and any virtues) back. I promise.

I live in Canada. The exchange rate is rough. Help?

I know the dollars aren’t exchanging so favorably for you these days. If the rate is a hardship for you, email me and I’ll send you a special link so that you are paying the same amount, but in Canadian dollars.

I got rhythm, but no $.

Email me about the good you are doing in the world and let me see that I have enough paying folk. I’m certain I can cut you a deal… like asking you to beta-test some future offering in exchange for a reduced rate.

What's included?

Take a look at the somewhat slick sales tables below. I don’t like them, but they work. At the minimum, you are buying four, live, hour-long, interactive learning experiences with Rabbi Brian. But, it’s more than that… you are getting virutes which can transform your life.

Future modules?

I have not yet outlined future modules. Please let me know what you are interested in.

I have plans for this to go MORE than the 4-weeks. But, let’s start with the four weeks.

Transformation

$249
  • Four, live, hour-long, interactive learning experiences with Rabbi Brian
  • Access to recordings (good if you know you are going to miss a session)
  • Access to Rabbi Brian’s Private Facebook Group
  • Weekly group check-ins via email between sessions
  • Private consultations with Rabbi Brian to set measurable goals and assess progress. (Weekly 1:1 chats, email, phone, etc.)

More

$500
  • Everything in the $249 transformation package
  • Double the commitment to having a transformation in anger, annoyances, blame, and forgiveness. And, commitment is good.
  • Rabbi Brian’s phone number so you can call or text when you want during the month of July. (24-hour response time.)
  • Pride in knowing that you are underwriting the fees for folk who otherwise would not be able to take part in ROTB programs

I would imagine if you do a quick calculation of how much your anger, annoyances, blame, and lack of forgiveness cost you, it is far greater than $250.

Value. People sometimes ascertain value by dividing the dollar amount by the number of sessions. $249 ÷ 4 sessions is $62.50 a session. (And, that number might mean different things to different people.) I would ask you to think about value this way:
Would you exchange $500 of your dollars to have less  anger, annoyances, blame, and lack of forgiveness?
